Description:
This large stone country house, recently restored, is 400
mt above sea level. There is plenty of fresh country air,
even in the warmest months. It borders on Tuscany and overlooks
a green valley, with woods, small lakes and characteristic
country homes. It is 11 Km from Trasimeno Lake and 16 from
the medieval town Cortona, one of the most suggestive towns
in Tuscany.
From the country house, you can easily reach many famous cultural
centres, both of Umbria and Tuscany, towns known for their
landscapes as well as their architecture and art: Gubbio is
40 minutes by car, Spoleto and Siena an hour, Florence an
hour and 15 minutes.
La Collina is situated in the middle of a 20 hectares wide
property, with a hilly and panoramic position, surrounded
by chestnut and oak woods. And for the guests there is a large
private garden and wide opened green areas.
Near the country house, there is a swimming pool, with a suggestive
360° landscape. There are 5 autonomous apartments, from
2 to 7 people. The furnishings are typically traditional,
comfortable and functional. The apartments are with stone
walls and beamed ceilings. Each apartment has an independent
entrance; equipped with its own garden furniture.There is
also autonomous heating.
In the neighbourhood, there are trekking paths that can be
done by foot, on horse-back or on mountain-bikes. Tennis courts
are available 800 mt away, water sports available nearby at
the Trasimeno Lake. And, for those who love good cooking and
good wine, there are several excellent restaurants nearby.
